Far Cry 5’s Map Editor Hello Map Editors! A couple of months ago, we invited a small group of dedicated map creators to take part in a closed technical test of Far Cry 5’s Map Editor. This group comprised veterans of the scene who have been entertaining thousands of players with their amazing maps since the Far Cry 2 map editor.
Far Cry 4 also contains a Map Editor that allows users to create and share custom content. Similar to that of Far Cry 3, players can create their maps by customizing landscapes, and by placing buildings, trees, wildlife, and vehicles. However, the Map Editor did not support competitive multiplayer levels at launch.
CryEngine (stylized as CRYENGINE) is a game engine designed by the German game developer Crytek. It has been used in all of their titles with the initial version being used in Far Cry, and continues to be updated to support new consoles and hardware for their games. Infection - A gamemode where 1 player starts as the infected and every player they kill is transferred to their team. Racing - Although it's not the core gameplay, Far Cry's vehicles do drive nicely. It would be a fun change of pace to have a race mode included in the game (with and without weapons).

I'm running somewhat of an older system with an i7 3770k @ 4.0, 16GB 1600, and an R9 390, however in game on medium settings, I typically get frame rates around 70fps. However, whenever I test a map in the editor, at most I'll get 30fps, and it's usually jumps around from 15-25fps. Any idea what might be going on to cause such bad performance
The main game itself is fine. no issues. but map editor doesnt wanna launch. my display driver crashes when trying to launch it. reboots, then map editor crashes once my screen blinks and comes back. Compared to console, PC SP maps already have double the object budget (14000 objects for PC SP maps, vs 7000 objects per PC Multiplayer/any console map. All other budgets are the same. You can't have overbudget maps on console, my editormod only allows publishing overbudget maps on PC.
