Wednesday, May 13, 2020. As Assassin's Creed Valhalla has been confirmed to run at 4K, 30 frames per second on Xbox Series X, doubts are hanging over the capabilities of Microsoft's next console
However, with the move to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, the focus has shifted somewhat, at least for the first two years of this generation's lifecycle. Lots of developers have actively pushed for 60FPS (sometimes even 120), often implementing multiple performance modes; a method that became popular with the Xbox One X and PS4 Pro consoles.

The company even went as far as to confirm that Assassin's Creed Valhalla would run at 4K resolution on Xbox Series X and feature high dynamic range (HDR) colors. If you buy the Xbox One version

120 fps is better. but the difference for casual playing is not that big. also there are not many games that support 120 fps.. The Xbox Serie S allows you to configure 4k / 120fps and HDR even with an HDMI 2.0 cable, so that fixes the problem! I am 100% satisfied with the Serie S !!
The monitor will display what it can, but the fact that the console is putting out frames faster than the monitor can take them means that when it does grab a new frame, it'll be the most up to date frame possible. A 120fps output on a 75hz monitor will look better and have less input lag than a 75fps output on the same monitor. 16. [deleted
Performance mode is 1440p @60fps on Series X. “Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy Will Support 4K/30 FPS And 1440p/60 FPS On PS5/Xbox Series X” from the senior producer of the game. The 1080p mode applies to ray tracing. I’m playing the game on Series X in performance mode right now and it looks fantastic.

The Series S is fantastic if you're a casual gamer or as a second console, but if your primary motive is 60/120FPS, I would just get the SX. Some games don't offer performance mode on the Series S, some games run at a much lower resolution (720-1080P) when at 60. Most games only run at 1440-1600P at 30FPS. IIRC, 120FPS can drop down to 540P on

Neither the PS5 nor Xbox Series X meets the recommended PC requirements, which are the specs the developer recommends for 1080p at 60 fps (let alone 4K at 60 fps).
AC franchise - 60fps on consoles. // Question. Not sure about PlayStation and Switch, so I appreciate if anyone on these platforms cares about playing at 60fps and can search for this info to post here. The entire franchise except Black Flag and Syndicate run at 60fps on Xbox. Xbox lead engineer Jason Ronald on Nov 2021 stated: PS5 vs Xbox Series X vs Xbox Series S: Full Tech Specs Comparison; PS5 vs PS4: Full Tech Specs Comparison @chris730920 it can run 4k 60fps even its 8k ready also can run up to 120fps also ray
If a game has an unlocked framerate, the Series X can push it to its maximum cap, which is usually 60fps. Unity was updated to have a 30fps cap, so the updated version or the digital version is locked at 30fps even on a Series X. Black Flag has always had a 30fps cap, so unless Ubisoft updates it to change the framerate cap, it's 30fps. 4.
120fps = 8.3ms. Now, consider that the higher the resolution, the higher the load on the system (primarily the gpu, but also the cpu to a lesser degree). Number of pixels per resolution: 720p = 920,000. 1080p = 2,070,000. 2160p (4k) = 8,300,000. As resolution increases, the demand increases.
What you need to know. Ubisoft has confirmed that Assassin's Creed Valhalla runs at 4K 60FPS on Xbox Series X. The game's release date was also moved up to November 10. The Xbox Series X and Xbox Starfield is now available for preorder ahead of its release on Sept. 6, 2023, and will release for Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC, Xbox and PC Game Pass, and Xbox Cloud Gaming.
